The Concert + Break!

Sat Nov 18, 2006, 7:23 PM
The Make Poverty History Concert was great :D It had its surprises and I wish they didn't take Kris' 10D cause we would've gotten some awesome photos otherwise :P (we had really good seats) hehe

The line up:
- Pearl Jam & U2 (Bono called themselves UJam :P)
- Sarah Blasko
- John Butler Trio
- Hilltop Hoods
- Eskimo Joe
- Evermore
- Lior
- Paul Kelly
- JET

and lots of other performances! :D Lots of white arms bands were sold for one thing! Visit: [link]

Annnd, exams are over :D I'm on my break till... February/March 07 now. So..aside from work, what should I do? And no, I'm not going overseas :P

Hope we are all having a great weekend! :)

Make Poverty History - Melbourne + SNOW!

Wed Nov 15, 2006, 3:46 AM
I got tickets to the make poverty history concert :D
And it's on the 17th November which is the last day of my exams :P so I guess I get to have a bit of a relax after all the stress and grind of the past few weeks, so yay for me!
I didn't expect to get any, but hey, when I got an email telling me I'd scored a double pass, I wasn't going to argue ;)

So at least I have something to look forward to after all the exams are over. And before I start working more - need to save some money!

But then I also got tickets to Varekai (these I had to pay for :P though I wish they were free hehe) but that's not until next year, so in the mean time, I have to try and not lose them. Has anyone ever been to a Cirque du Soleil show? I've been wanting to go ever since the first time I'd heard of them which was a while ago. Now I've got tickets! :excited:

It snowed this morning for many parts of Victoria and for all those out there, you may be like "So? It's Winter nearly." But it's not! It's 2 weeks from summer and it's snowing :| It's bizarre too cause it snowed in a lot of places - not just the mountains! Which is odd. Climate change. *sigh*

But yes. That needed a journal announcement. It's cold. It's like 6C outside right now. Or something of the sort. It's weird. And I'm cold. :P

Melbourne Cup and Motivation + Progress

Tue Nov 7, 2006, 12:54 AM
I need some motivation today. I have an exam tomorrow. And technically, I shouldn't be here. I should be off in the midst of my books. I don't think it's hit me yet that I'm having an exam in just a bit over 12 hours and that if I don't do something now, I'll regret it in about 4 hours time.

So! I really should go. And study. And wait for my mini-moos to arrive since they've been posted already :evillaugh: annnnnd yep!

But instead, I have looked at how the people dressed up today for the races, it was oddly 14C outside so today was a tad chilly. But it was cool looking at all the hats and dresses :aww:
And of course, the horsies.

Oaks day should be interesting. But I have to study for an exam the next day on Thursday too. :P
Enough rambling. I will rant some more when I finally get my mini-moos and go crazy over them.

If I wasn't studying, I would've been like all the other Melburnians on this fine weekend, gone to Derby Day where everyone gets drunk, Melbourne Cup and then Oaks day to see all the cool fashion and hats ;) and of course, enjoyed the 4 day weekend :P

Cheers!
(I wish Tawqeet did win though...)

On the other hand, 2 down and 3 to go! :D :boogie:
I mean! 3 down and 2 to go! :D

actually, at least I have something to be excited about now. Mini-moos! :D hehehe. I can't wait to get them! I hope they turn out good. aiiiiiiiiie. I want them now!

--

I keep remembering random things I wanted to put into this journal. :P
But anyhow, I wish the person who bought a 20x20 inch of Songs of Orange [link] could tell me if it turned out any good :P
You can note me about it! :) It's just that I'd really love to know....

I wish we had square canvas sizes too. It'd be awesome to see how photos turn out on it. And then have nowhere to hang it! ;)

Ok! er, back to study....... :P

blah.
