Back to reality.

Sun Aug 12, 2007, 11:57 PM
Back from Europe. Heck, I'm into my 4th week of uni already!
So I'm sifting through my photos right now and hopefully will have something of some interest to place up here. It's weird being back in Melbourne, I haven't quite slipped back into my usual routine yet. I guess it's also different since this semester of uni is so much different from my previous semester.
For one thing, it's a lot more hectic and.. hectic. My roster makes me start uni at all sorts of times and it's becoming natural to be down in clinic so often.

Also, I have to think about where I'm going to do my externship. Hmm. They want all of us to go overseas next year (more saving up to do) and I'm not sure if I want to go to a third world country or see how other countries function with optometrists.

But anyhow. Back to Europe. It was great, too tonnes of photos, I did love Germany and Venice.. There's just so much and so little time.

Hmm. Will need to go back in the future :)

It seems that not long ago I was just talking about it being February already and now it's the end of the month and I go back to uni tomorrow. Wow. That went by even quicker than I imagined.

So what have I achieved these past 3 months?

Well I've worked a lot. But I guess I did that on purpose, jumped at all chances to work since I have to save up money for my Europe trip. Which reminds me that I need to sort out the accommodation stuff soon.

Sigh. I just wiped out half of my journal entry and I don't know what I was talking about.

So now I give up. Something about uni. About movies. The Open Air Festival, The Good German and Running With Scissors. Strange strange book = weird weird movie.

I'll stop procrastinating now and go...

Hope you are all faring well with lots of water to drink! :P

February already

Journal Entry: Mon Feb 5, 2007, 1:41 AM

I can't believe that it's February already... and at the end of this month, it's back to uni for me. It hasn't felt like it's been almost 3 months, but it has. Time really flies by when you're having fun I guess. Although I cannot say that it's all be great so far (worked a lot) but at least I didn't have the daily fuss of getting up early and taking the train, sitting in lectures, all that.

Part of me wants to go back and part of me doesn't.

But I'll probably get used to it really quickly again.

I'm still recovering from the flu, which has been a pain; fever, headache, aches, cough, even nosebleeds which isn't a symptom of the flu but was brought on by my symptoms. :P

Oh well!

Hopefully all of you have been faring a bit better :)

But on the plus side, there's a lot to look forward to this year.. I'm going to see Varekai with Kris (Cirque du Soleil) in a few months from now, and I'm saving up for the Europe trip later on this year too. Which reminds me that I have to find some good places for accommodation without hurting my wallet *too* much. Any good places to recommend in Frankfurt, Berlin, Paris, London or Rome? Or rather, any sights/places in those respective countries which can't be missed? ;)

Anyhow.. I'll stop rambling now.

Take care

'tis the season...

And it's that time of the year again (refer to webcam), so I wish you all a great Christmas and New Year's, wherever you are, whatever you may be doing. :)
Currently, 24 hour shopping is on, and I'm tossing whether to go or not :P But hope everyone gets to have a happy break and holiday, lots of food and drink and drink...

I can't believe it's Christmas already. I feel like I just finished uni for the year (back in November) but here I am, once again at the end of a year. I got my first Christmas presents today! :w00t: It was from the guys at work, since I'm not going to see them till after the holidays, buuuut it's always good to be receiving presents!

Meanwhile, I have a bavarian strudel to make and I hope it turns out well. (Well, we since Kris is in it too!) Hehe, this is going to be interesting! Not implying we can't cook, just never made bavarian strudel before so I hope it all goes to plan.

Sorry for the stunt in photos, I know I said I'd get back to it all after uni, but I've been trying to reorganise my room to the way I want it (it's not working thus far) and reading addictive books. The weather has been evil too, especially with the bushfires, the whole city was covered in smog. But! I will be out with my camera soon, it needs a bit of a workout.

Addictive books are evil. Yet so, so good.

I went cherry picking on Wednesday too, it was an hour's drive away into the Dandenong Ranges but it was fun, and the cherries were so big and sweet. We managed to pick 6kg of it :| and now the house is inundated with cherries. We would've probably got more if it wasn't so hot that day.

And now, it's cold!

I should've made gingerbread men this year. Hmph. I remember the year I put together a hamper... I should do that again, just for the fun of it. A new year's hamper since I'm too late to a Christmas one already. :P

Anyhow.

Merry Christmas everyone! :holly:
